
Edy Project Student Support Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
$500 (one-time award per student)
Purpose:
The Edy Project Student Support Scholarship was created to assist K–12 students whose families have been impacted by immigration challenges, educational barriers, or parental job loss. This scholarship recognizes resilience, effort, and determination among students facing hardship and aims to provide encouragement and financial relief.
Who Can Apply:
- Any student currently enrolled in grades K–12.
- Students whose families have experienced hardship due to immigration issues, job loss, or educational disruption.
- Students who can share their personal story and goals through a short essay.
Application Requirements:
- A short essay (up to 300 words) written by the student answering:
“How has your family’s experience shaped your goals for the future, and how would this scholarship help you?” - Parent or guardian contact information.
- Proof of enrollment (e.g., report card, school letter, or student ID).
Selection and Award Details:
- Applications open on the 1st of each month.
- One recipient will be selected by the end of each month to receive a $500 scholarship.
- Recipients will be chosen based on authenticity, effort, and clarity of expression, not grammar or writing skill.
- All submissions will be reviewed confidentially. No personal information will be shared with anyone outside the Edy Project review team.
